A powerful commercial nerve centre.Built in the 16th century under Francis I, the Port of Le Havre is now an important trading port which every year sees thousands of different kinds of cargo and containers from around the world coming in and out of the harbour. Located on the Seine estuary, Le Havre has several terminals for receiving goods in different states (solid, liquid, etc.). It is in this port which supplies of crude oil are imported into France.
